Y&L Interview with Laurel from Exlovers
Exlovers play Y&L's debut night at the super cool C.A.M.P on the 7th May...
Y&L - 7th May is a late one! Will you stay to party?
Laurel - Yeah why not...unless I get sleepy. I get sleepy a lot…….
Y&L - Whats your ideal night out / night in?
Laurel - Night in= a big old food fest. I should probably say with friends, but I’d be lying. I’d rather read a book….
Night out - Friends can get involved. Normally this will include a good old man pub, people I like and Jameson’s. Could in theory involve dancing.
Y&L - What is guaranteed to get you on the dance floor?
Laurel - Jameson’s. And Beyonce.
Y&L - Are you wearing heels or dancing shoes? Or are your heels your dancing shoes!?!
Laurel - I have to battle with the dream of high heels and the reality of them. So probably flats.
Y&L - What song is guaranteed to get you off the dance-floor and heckling the DJ?
Laurel - Probably something too cool for school. I don’t heckle, it’s mean...

Noah & The Whale speak out against the closure of BBC6 with a very special cover of Tom Petty's 'Last Dj'
From Charlie...
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen
As I'm sure many of you are aware, the BBC is currently facing great tragedy. A tragedy that will be catastrophic on all alternative music groups, new bands and unsigned artists.
The BBC trust have recommended the closure of BBC 6, which in the current climate is quite seriously one of the very few champions of good alternative music left in the mainstream media. Following the BBC's official announcement of their plans they have now entered into a process of public consultation which will be managed independently by the BBC Trust. So if you have any comments on the recent announcement or any part of the BBC Strategy Review then you should go to the link below
Here you will find the full details of the Strategy Review and how to respond to the Trust with your views on 6 Music and the review in general. You can also email the BBC Trust about the Strategy Review at srconsultation@bbc.co.uk
Or write to them by post: Strategy Review Consultation BBC Trust 180 Great Portland Street London 1W 5QZ
Please make yourselves heard.

From Sara Young & Lost Club
1."Bad Reputation" - Joan Jett and the Blackhearts - a classic, I'm looking forward to the biopic too.

7. "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" - Whitney Houston - possibly my all time favourite song to dj
8. "Stutter" - Elastica - they were so cool.
9. "Frederick" - Patti Smith - Patti Smith has been my hero since I was 14, this song (written for her future husband) is very romantic.
